HI,
I have read with much sadness the lack of support many of you receive regarding your AG collections (obsessions ) and wanted to post a positive, funny story.
My mom, dd's "granny", can sew pretty well. She has made clothes for years (me as a child, as a seamstress in a factory, her own curtains, etc., etc.) When dd got a Twinn doll a few years back (from Granny) she made her clothes. When dd wanted babies last Christmas (twins from TRU, not Bitty), clothes were again made.
This time she has gone too far...she has made Kit 13 dresses/outfits so far!!! DD doesn't even have the doll yet & Santa is bringing two outfits (& she's wearing one too! ) What is most amusing is how she keeps sneaking peeks in the books & trying to match up fabric & clothing styles. She is actually out buying green rick rack (or is it ric rac??? ) to make Kit's old dress that she outgrew & her mom let out the hem & covered the crease w/ ric rac (that word again! ) I hope dd notices the outfits correlate w/ the books and appreciates the hard work.
Warmly,
trvnbrn
P.S. My mom was very impressed w/ AG clothing & it's quality. She has arthritis & velcro is how she must fasten things. Tiny buttons & zippers are very impressive to her.
